1. The Project Brief
The Vineyard Deli in Kenridge, Durbanville appointed Next Level Superstructures to design and build a bespoke retail fit-out for their flagship gourmet food emporium. The brief demanded heavy solid timber cabinetry, integrated commercial refrigeration display framing, artisanal shelving, and a welcoming, high-end farm-style retail atmosphere.
2. Site Constraints & Regulatory Mandates
Fresh food retail requires strict hygiene certifications, durable moisture-resistant surfaces, and specialized MEP connections for commercial refrigeration, deli slicers, and bakery display warming counters. The store was located in a tight neighborhood retail strip requiring quiet delivery logistics.

Executed across a 3-week calendar schedule. Custom timber displays were fabricated in off-site workshops and installed rapidly during week three to prevent dust contamination of refrigeration equipment.
5. Verified Outcome & Handover Quality
Delivered a complete gourmet grocery fit-out, from structural screed and tiling through to shopfitting, bulkheads and final finishes. The durable solid timber joinery in their food display cabinets, exquisite tiled extension and warm wall decor has proved to be a winning formula. The new and much improved public bathrooms are a valuable addition to the centre. They have proven exceptionally resilient under intense daily patronage.
